Not Giving It The College Try, Just So You Know the Difference...

uhhhhhh....I am Gonna Give This One the Old College Try..as they say

So at work I have three jobs. Two common and one more rare then a movie not narrated by Morgan Freeman. According to the schedule I am either the cart attendant or a cashier. I have sufficiently explained both of these jobs by now so we shall skip that. Every once in a rare while, usually when I am cashier late at night, I will be asked to "zone" the "front-end". Now I know that is some pretty serious retail lingo but simply put they want me to organize all the stuff by the check lanes. You know the soda candy and snacks they have by the conveyor belt and the little trinkets on the "end-caps". This is the most glorious job I could ever have. If it were up to me I would spend 8 hours a day organizing the whole store. I love organizing, in a serious OCD way. Something about lining up boxes of cereal perfectly and evenly just gets my endorphins flowing. This evening I tackled the isle with all the trading cards and stuff. Let me tell you, those trading card collecting kids are ruthless. They rip through that isle like a modern day Blitzkrieg. Ripping open packs to find the good cards and tossing collectible tins all the way down the isle. By 10:15 pm the whole isle is in shambles. Baseball card packs are crammed into the garbage pail kids display box and Pokemon collectors boxes are jammed in between the UFC tins. It is up to me to organize the whole thing. The best way to describe how I felt afterwards is this...

It is Here, As Promised, Crappy Cellphone Pictures From Wisconsin Trip

Well here they are, My pictures from University of Wisconsin Orientation. All 30some of them in no particular order. Hope you enjoy...
p.s. most of them are landscapes...sorry if it gets boring to you. I think it's the most amazing place in the world.

Obviously a big moment, after watching 4 planes leave with out me. Ahh the joys of flying non-rev.
Some buildings and stuff (the majority of these pictures are like this FYI).

Saw a huge red-tailed hawk flying around. My High school team was the Hawks. Inception...

This will be my home for my freshman year. Turner Kronshage House.

State Street...A.K.A. coolest street ever. The amazing capital building in the background.

Some bushes. I was really tired by the last day...

Basically the view from my dorm, pretty spectacular.

More Lake, So pretty.

Turner House from the other side. Turns out it's not much different.

Lake and sail boat. You can rent little sail boats to take out on the lake. Definatley gonna learn to sail.
No explanation required. Just thought it was a pretty sign.
On of the many libraries on Campus. Rumor has it that at one of them people unzip their backpacks before going inside. It's that quiet. Also you can sleep in them, open all night.
Some aerial view action. I know I should change majors to photography.

He taught me how to bucky...

Leaving, sad sad sad...
I will be spending a lot of time here. Most if it spent not getting on planes. Dane County Airport.

It is quite nice on the inside.

Pretty sure that is another library on the left.

My college has a  Big Red Castle...does yours??

Map...meant to show how much stuff there is on campus. Maybe get a better camera next time.

They are building new stuff, just for me.

Definatley the first time I have ever worn any kind of clothing representing a school or sports team. A big moment...

Look grass...I guess I thought that was picture worthy...I don't know on this one.

Abe Lincoln sitting in front of Bascom Hall. Pretty badass if you ask me.

^^True that...

Lake front property sure beats this big ugly tower....

Yah see if I lived in ^^big ugly tower^^ from the picture above, I would have to walk up this big hill every morning. Lucky me right??
So there it is. I cannot wait to start school there, and finnally have something worth while to blog about. Until then these few pictures and New Jersey will have to suffice.

Thoughts on Hollywood Logic

Hokay so, the pictures are delayed another day because I went and saw the Green Lantern Movie. To start things off, Ryan Reynolds plays the exact same character in every movie. Conveniently it is one that I love. He is such a douche bag all the time, it is just hilarious to me. So Green Lantern in a nutshell = Space Police defend the galaxy with shiny green rings that harness the power of Will. Their mortal enemy is the Yellow guy who lives on fear. Ryan Reynolds becomes first human "Lantern" with much humbug from other Lanterns. Yellow guy attacks Earth after pawning Lantern Commando Squad. Ryan Reynolds and his girl friend shoot a missile or two at Yellow guy, fly into space and push fear guy into the sun. End.

Beyond the improbability of Intergalactic Space Police with shiny Will-power rings, the movie has some questionable moments. I am not being crazy or anything, what I mean is that there are parts of the film that just don't make sense. My High school film teacher always told me that when watching a film one has to suspend our disbelief. So we accept space police, Will vs Fear battle and rings of power. But then things get a tad ridiculous. So in a key moment in the film the Yellow Fear guy attacks Ryan and Blake (love interest) in some airplane hanger. Ryan is with out his ring and therefore powerless. As the yellow guy begins to such Ryan's soul out dementor style. Blake makes a clutch play and jumps on the computer and has the Fighter plane / Robot Drone launch two sidewinder rockets into the yellow guy. He screams in pain and recoils from the hanger. Logical? Well, this Yellow guy is the physical representation of fear. It has devoured the souls of billions of lifeforms, consumed whole planets and assimilated all of it into itself, growing ever stronger. The Elite group of Green Lanterns could not even phase it with their strongest ring pew pew pews. THAT'S COOL WE WILL JUST SHOOT A MISSILE AT IT. Later Ryan throws a gas tanker at it and blows it up in the things face. Again causing it noticeable pain and anguish. Like what the hell. You have a crazy cool idea about using ones strong will as a weapon and then resort to throwing a truck full of gas at it. How could a small explosion hurt a giant ethereal cloud of fear and dead souls, that is capable of intergalactic travel and originates from one of the most ancient and immortal beings in the entire galaxy? Hal, the cocky fighter pilot...that's how.
This song is awesome..

Thoughts on "Back Home"

So I got back to Jersey this afternoon. I am exhausted times ten and have work tomorrow morning. Yes life is good. The trip to Madison was absolutely amazing, and I am working on uploading all like 40 of the shitty cellphone pictures I took. But before that I just wanted to talk about Madison / UW and how I feel about it. I have never been one to have "school spirit", and wouldn't be caught dead in high school team shirt or anything like that. Not to say I was uninvolved, I just wasn't going to cheer on the football team as they lost everything.  All that aside, I am wearing my Red Wisconsin T-shirt right now and I am damn proud of being a Badger. The college is absolutely amazing. I have not even been to one class but I am already in love. The campus buildings are all incredible and the architecture / landscaping is beautifully spread across the massive campus. You will see in the pictures but yah. It is just an all around great place and the people there are all polite, helpful and kind. None of them are from New Jersey haha... Lake Mendota flanks the whole campus and it is breathtaking. My dorm is what I would call "lake-front" property and I think I am going to join the sailing club. As for academics I will be majoring in Microbiology with a certificate in Computer Science...hopefully. I just can't freaking wait to go!
Pictures will be tomorrow I promise.

Thoughts on Reddit

Oh man, I just discovered Reddit, it is absolutely amazing. So much time wasting available on website, it like if there was an Internet Christmas. It is like a list of awesome Stumble upon pages all on one screen. I spent the whole day on Reddit and doing laundry. I have been super pro-active lately when it comes to chores and stuff. I always make my lunch for work the night before, clean and organize my room and stuff. Feels super good to not be a lazy ass. I also added some buttons to the blog, to share it on Stumble, Reddit, Digg, ect ect. Feel free to click on them and make me happy. No pressure or anything. Also check out that article I linked below this post. It is freaking genius. Jimmy Carter talking about America's oh so wonderful "War on Drugs." It is one of those things that still boggles my mind. Why we continue to waste time, money and frankly lives to stop people from smoking pot, while simultaneously lining the pockets of the Mexican drug cartel. Hey maybe let people in America grow the drug and pays taxes to the government on it? No, pot is dangerous, all we need is tobacco and alcohol. Good safe non-addictive legal substances for us to abuse. tisk tisk tisk America. I am disappoint...as usual...

Song for tonight is gonna be relevant as heck.

Thoughts on A Damn Good Bumper Sticker

I wish I had seen this sooner, would have saved me so much time and effort. All that time writing, or better, bitching about New Jersey. Trying to explain to you all what kind of place it is, what some people here are like. I still see things that blow me away, mostly I can only laugh. I guess if you grew up here you are used to seeing people dump garbage all over the place, pass someone through an intersection by driving on the shoulder. But this bumper sticker really sums it all up. People must just be really angry, for whatever reason, and they take out their anger by acting like idiots. I want to say this right now, not everyone in New Jersey is horrible. Many are normal, or even exceptionally kind. But there are some folks here that are just out of control. Anyways back to the awesome bumper sticker. It requires some explanation for those that do not live in New Jersey. The logo is that of the Garden State Parkway. People from New Jersey tell other people from New Jersey the location of their residence by giving the Parkway Exit it is closest too. So yah it is a pretty big deal here. It is also one of the most horrifying roads I have ever driven on. All the crazy driving-ness is implicate by a power of ten on the parkway. It is not a fun place to drive. So yah it is a very angry place, and it sort of brings the whole state together. Hats off to the owner of this bumper Sticker. I was very amused.

As for the tune-age, I am very excite. I have been waiting patiently to drop this one. Children of Bodom are a European metal band. They rock my socks off on a daily basis, AND they have a kick ass keyboard player. I have to say that the addition of the keyboard really makes them a super awesome band. They might just be my favorite metal band. Also (to my knowledge) have never made the "soft power ballad" that most metal bands usually make. So props to them. Bodom forever!

Gotta Have my Bowl, Gotta Have Cereal

Okay I freaking love cereal. I think it took me 19 years to finally realize it, but me and cereal are made for each other. I always knew I was really into milk, especially in the morning. Orange juice was never really my type and I really hated eggs. Eggs are horrible, if I eat a big greasy plate of eggs first thing in the morning it makes me absolutely sick. My stomach is not ready for that much protein and I don't really like the idea of eating what is basically a fetus. Throw abortion argument out the window for now, eating eggs is like 50% eating a fetus, a chicken fetus at that. But cereal, there is some good stuff. If you think back on every single conversation you have ever had with anyone; can you remember one person who did not like cereal? Not like "oh I do not like Cereal A, or Cereal B" but flat out dislikes cereal? NO because it is the best. You might not like all kinds of cereal, but there is most defiantly at least one kind of cereal that you will like, it is avoidable. The spectrum of cereal flavors is overwhelming and over lapping. I had this wonderful realization this morning... I opened the pantry and gazed upon my cereal choices. Now, obviously I have a greater spread available to me since I am an avid cereal eater, but roll with me. I saw before me Captain Crunch Peanut Butter Church, Coca Puffs, and Reese's Puffs. If I want delicious crunchy peanut butter cereal I can have CCPBC (Not part of  the Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик) this sound like a part of the , if I want chocolate crunchy goodness I can have the Coca Puffs. This is where cereal gets super legit; if I want both I can just have Reese's Puffs. So basically every single combination of flavors existed in the cereal market. No other food has that much variety.
Another reason that cereal is better then any other breakfast food is that technically it exists in two states of matter simultaneously. I mean this scientifically and food-in-tifically. It is both hard food and drink at the same time. It is also more or less a solid an a liquid at the same time. If you think of cereal as one entity then it does exist in a bi-state state...state state state. I am out on quite a tangent but I just really love cereal. The best part has to be drinking the leftover milk at the end. Cereal, I know this isn't much but devoting my blog to you is the least I could do. You deserve better and I am humbled by your amazingness.

EDIT: I was stumbleing and found this: http://www.obviouswinner.com/obvwin/2011/6/6/surprise-breakfast-double-yolk-egg-filled-with-fetus-blood.html yah guy cracks a store bought egg on the frying pan and BAM double yolk/fetus with blood. Horrible.

Thoughts on Quite Possibly the Most Ridiculous Thing Ever

I am very tired, but I found this on Stumble and it was so insane I feel obligated to post it. I cannot even begin to explain it... Just follow the link...

http://lol.escoflip.com/

Now for some tunes! Is there ever that song that is super terrible. It is extremely corny and frankly pretty awful. It is insanely douchie and but also super popular. I am talking about just the worst song ever, and yet you absolutely love it? I cannot explain why I like this song, but I guess shout out to Mike Grote. Who is in fact a Citizen Soldier. But seriously this song is my kryptonite. I absolutely hate it and yet the planet I am from is made of it....anyways enjoy. Also the start of the music video is hilarious..HEY BRO PASS THE FOOTBALL

ps. sorry for the rick roll, I am feeling devious. Also bonus point to whoever found the awesome pun.

Thoughts on So Much Room For Activities

When I say "room for" I mean "time for". Since I have all this free time (all I do is work, and nothing else...no friends ect ect). As I discussed earlier I am working on learning Python. Day 2 of it was even more exciting. I can only do simple stuff with out but I am still quite stoked on it. So in the interest of not being bored to death I shall also embark upon the quest of building my own computer. My awesome brother should be sending me a case for a discount price BUT he is taking forever in doing so, apparently he is "busy" or some BS like that. Once that arrives I shall begin. I am guessing that the topics of my blogs will soon be all about my trials and tribulations of computer building and Python. More interesting than bitching about how much New Jersey sucks....but seriously it sucks. Yesterday I saw this lady cuss out a 90 year old women over a shopping cart. Only in Jersey. Oh and I found this today on Stumble and thought it would really show how bored I am, and how much I am looking forward to school.

Thoughts on Python

No this is not about a python, or any other kind of snake. Python is a programming language (I think). I was using the wonderful Stumble! button and came across a free book called "Learn Python The Hard Way". Since I have recently came to the conclusion that I will be need to do a minor in Computer Science, and learn to write my own programs, I decided to give it a shot. I got through five chapters without a ridiculous amount of trouble. It is all pretty interesting and the feeling you get when you run something that you have written and it works is pretty cool. I think if you get a big smile going when write some tiny thing like I am , and it works; then I bet when your a super god at it and write some ridiculous program that takes a year to make and you finally finish it and it runs for the first time you must be over flowing with joy. I must say I feel a lot better spending my evening doing something useful instead of wasting the hours away on youtube... I have college orientation coming up in a few weeks and I need to study some calculus for the placement test. It is officially time to get off the lazy do nothing swing and get back in the swing of academic work and studying. I am going to College SOON. I must say that I am absolutely stoked to go. Call me a nerd but just thinking about all the learning and stuff..ohh man. I cannot wait to dive into some Microbiology soon. I am such a freaking closet nerd I swear. For those that do not know, I am going to get my Ph.D in Virology and work on vaccine development to save lives. I am a huge nerd and love schoolwork.
That is all...

Of course for the music today. I introduce to you another favorite of mine, Wumpscut. :W:!!

Thoughts on Today

In an EPIC display of reading ability, Kyle shows up for work prepared for 6 long hours outside in the hot sun. The heat was prepared to make Kyle's day a living hell, 100 degree weather with heaps of humidity loaded on top. My schedule for today was Carts- 9:30 - 4:00 then Cashier 4:00 - 6:00, OR SO I THOUGHT. I got to work and found out much to my joy that I was actually Cashier for 6 hours then carts for only two. This was great because it was unbearably hot out today. Now my schedule consists of mostly cashier, so obviously here comes the rain. Am I the only person that this happens too, you know, when the weather seems to know your schedule. It happens to me all the time, working 8 hour shifts outside = 95 and humid, DAY OFF?!?! Rainy and cloudy. This always used to happen to me in Montana too, when I would be going to work at La Tinga starting at 6 am it would without fail be snowing. Now this is not so ridiculous in Montana in winter. But darn'nit if it did not snow those mornings from about November through June. The season did not matter, if I was getting up early to go to work, it was snowing. So as I sit here listening to the rain pour and the thunder clap, I have this to say. Weather, I am on to you!
But seriously today I was able to trick the weather So I WIN.

Thoughts on Dirty Diapers

I ask all of you reading this to ponder something...
What kind of person leaves a rolled up dirty diaper in a shopping cart? Do you think you could do something so lazy and disgusting as that? What sort of thought process occurs before someone commits such a heinous act? Could it merely be an accident? A busy mother who simply forgot about it? Neigh, it was done out of laziness or some other wicked desire. Perhaps the thought of someone else having to deal with it was comforting? I do not have the answer...but I am disappointed human race...in fact

Yeah, the place where people leave diapers in carts...

Thoughts on a Couple of Conscious Coincidences

I don't really know about the conscious part but I was dying for the alliteration so just work with me. I have two pretty funny little coincidences to tell you about. Two is the quantity that equals a couple by the way. But I digress...there I was walking the parking lot of Target, a situation I find myself in more often than not, when upon grabbing a stray cart I find a 20 dollar bill. Target is chill, as they allow you to listen to music while working, one headphone only of course so I can hear the walkie talkie. Did I mention that by the way, the whole you get your own walkie talkie thing? Feel infinitely more important when you have your own walkie talkie. Anyways, I am jamming out to a favorite song of mine, Money by Choking Victim. The odds of finding a 20 dollar bill are pretty low as is, but the chances of finding one while listening to a song called Money. So I do the right thing and turn the 20 dollar bill into my boss. Work the rest of the day away and retire to my bed with laptop in hand.
I pass most of the time I am not working with Stumble! So there I am stumbling away when suddenly my computer freezes up....RAINBOW WHEEL OF DEATH.....Warning! A script on this website is unresponsive...It is causing problems...blah blah blah...Quit Firefox...reboot.... Now I am sure this has happened to everyone once or twice so why do I consider it to be a coincidence, well, the website I stumbled upon, the one with the Firefox crashing script on it? Thoughts on Whale...

I found out why a Humpback Whale was so close to the shore. Apparently, it had been hit by a large boat and it part of it's spine was crushed. It beached itself and died several miles south of where I spotted it. I would say that is nature for you, but huge boats are not exactly a natural occurrence. Kind of bummed me out when I read about it, such a beautiful thing it is a shame that it died in that way. Anywhoo I worked till 11 so I am tired. Sorry to end on a sad note...
Also that quote was from Kung-Pow Enter the Fist, probably the greatest movie known to mankind.

Thoughts on..OOHHHHH WA%@$!%

So today was day off, some old friends came down from NYC for some good new-fashioned time at the Jersey Shore. After the dentist visit (my teeth are pretty good at being teeth apperentally...) we went over to Brick Beach #1 and set up beach camp. It was a cloudy day, a fairly strong wind was blowing. Not exactly prime weather for my first summer day at the Shore. There were probably five other people at the beach, every one wa very non-chalant. So I walk out into the water, the icy cold water wading around my ankles, as I survey the vast expanse of sea I see a black flicker in my proliferal vision. Now I am not sure if I have explained this but me and the ocean have a deal. Basically we are chill as long as I am no more then like 10 feet out and there is no living marine life near me. This flash of movement really freaked me out. I did not say anything at first, I was not sure I saw anything and did not want to be a "sissy". I slowly back out of the water and watch the area where I saw the thing. All of a sudden...yeah WHALE. There is a freaking whale like 20 feet of the shore and this thing breaches the surface and spouts a huge plume of water. It dives back under and swims up the coast. We followed it for awhile and basked in the beauty of it all. It had to be at least 15 ft long, I am no Whaleologist, but it looked like a Humpback Whale. Not sure but either way it was, for lack of better words, a legit whale. Pretty intense first trip to the shore.

After that we went to Seaside Heights. It was crowded, trashy and dirty. Like the TV show. So to complete the tile of the Blog..."OHHHHHHH WWHHAAAALLLLEEEE!!!!" You will notice that is in quotations, if anyone can tell me what that quote is from..I will give you 100 Internets.

Song semi-related to topic of post..skill
