Thoughts on Mt. Misery

So Yah...sorry about missing yesterday, I had a busy day. After I finished my last day at Target, I met up with Target friends to go bowling. Pretty normal activity I know, nothing to exciting. Then my friend Mark (he is kind of crazy) gets the idea that we should go and explore this crazy, old, abandoned Factory out in the middle of no-where. On our way to the "middle of nowhere" we settled on just driving around by the factory, as to avoid getting in trouble (or getting eaten by the New Jersey Devil). We ended up driving on some sketchy dirt trails in the middle of the pine barrens. Moral of the story, New Jersey forests are inexplicably creepier than Montana ones and I am glad we were in my car. It was pretty fun to drive some sketchy dirt roads again, like the good 'ol days in Montana. Driving through the woods was the perfect opportunity to listen to this new band I had just found (via proxy recommendation from my cousin through my mother). The "genre" is called (by some) witchhouse. It is just like creepy slow electronic beats and stuff. It added a very nice touch to the already creepy place. Anyyywhooo sorry for slacking last night, enjoy this White Ring song, I have to go wash the mud of the car and buy a new headlight bulb.

Thoughts on 16 Hours

I officially have 16 hours of work at Target left. Honestly kind of bummed. But I am more tired than bummed. I saw a clever bumper sticker but I forgot what it said. Moral of the story is I suck. At least the song is kind of related to the idea that I am almost done working.

Thoughts on New Shopping Carts

Target got new shopping carts. They are less than well designed. Today was like Tokyo Drift except with shopping carts. Did I mention the 105 degree weather.

This was on repeat for most of the day. Skrillex why did I just discover you?

Thoughts on How I feel

All I can say after cashiering for 8 hours, on a Friday evening. Target in Brick New Jersey. At least it is not hate and anger right right??

I wanted to put up the cover by Echo and the Bunnyman (from the Lost Boys, AWESOME). But I already posted an EatB song. Must uphold the new artist every post.

Thoughts on The Bouncing Souls

Bouncing Souls. On Saturday, in NYC and then ay after that Six Flags Great Adventure. I am very excite. Just have to survive one more day in the desert wasteland that is Target parking lot. Seriously it was like a million and a half degrees plus humidity today. I almost died, could have cooked eggs on the sidewalk hot. Anywho I will be taking awesome pictures and stuff as usual. Otherwise it is early to bed early to rise push shopping carts all day and eat lots of french fries. Also, reddit has many comical casey anthony jokes to be found. No it is not to soon.

uhhhhhh....I am Gonna Give This One the Old College Try..as they say

So at work I have three jobs. Two common and one more rare then a movie not narrated by Morgan Freeman. According to the schedule I am either the cart attendant or a cashier. I have sufficiently explained both of these jobs by now so we shall skip that. Every once in a rare while, usually when I am cashier late at night, I will be asked to "zone" the "front-end". Now I know that is some pretty serious retail lingo but simply put they want me to organize all the stuff by the check lanes. You know the soda candy and snacks they have by the conveyor belt and the little trinkets on the "end-caps". This is the most glorious job I could ever have. If it were up to me I would spend 8 hours a day organizing the whole store. I love organizing, in a serious OCD way. Something about lining up boxes of cereal perfectly and evenly just gets my endorphins flowing. This evening I tackled the isle with all the trading cards and stuff. Let me tell you, those trading card collecting kids are ruthless. They rip through that isle like a modern day Blitzkrieg. Ripping open packs to find the good cards and tossing collectible tins all the way down the isle. By 10:15 pm the whole isle is in shambles. Baseball card packs are crammed into the garbage pail kids display box and Pokemon collectors boxes are jammed in between the UFC tins. It is up to me to organize the whole thing. The best way to describe how I felt afterwards is this...

Thoughts on Today

In an EPIC display of reading ability, Kyle shows up for work prepared for 6 long hours outside in the hot sun. The heat was prepared to make Kyle's day a living hell, 100 degree weather with heaps of humidity loaded on top. My schedule for today was Carts- 9:30 - 4:00 then Cashier 4:00 - 6:00, OR SO I THOUGHT. I got to work and found out much to my joy that I was actually Cashier for 6 hours then carts for only two. This was great because it was unbearably hot out today. Now my schedule consists of mostly cashier, so obviously here comes the rain. Am I the only person that this happens too, you know, when the weather seems to know your schedule. It happens to me all the time, working 8 hour shifts outside = 95 and humid, DAY OFF?!?! Rainy and cloudy. This always used to happen to me in Montana too, when I would be going to work at La Tinga starting at 6 am it would without fail be snowing. Now this is not so ridiculous in Montana in winter. But darn'nit if it did not snow those mornings from about November through June. The season did not matter, if I was getting up early to go to work, it was snowing. So as I sit here listening to the rain pour and the thunder clap, I have this to say. Weather, I am on to you!
But seriously today I was able to trick the weather So I WIN.

Thoughts on Dirty Diapers

I ask all of you reading this to ponder something...
What kind of person leaves a rolled up dirty diaper in a shopping cart? Do you think you could do something so lazy and disgusting as that? What sort of thought process occurs before someone commits such a heinous act? Could it merely be an accident? A busy mother who simply forgot about it? Neigh, it was done out of laziness or some other wicked desire. Perhaps the thought of someone else having to deal with it was comforting? I do not have the answer...but I am disappointed human race...in fact

Yeah, the place where people leave diapers in carts...

Thoughts on a Couple of Conscious Coincidences

I don't really know about the conscious part but I was dying for the alliteration so just work with me. I have two pretty funny little coincidences to tell you about. Two is the quantity that equals a couple by the way. But I digress...there I was walking the parking lot of Target, a situation I find myself in more often than not, when upon grabbing a stray cart I find a 20 dollar bill. Target is chill, as they allow you to listen to music while working, one headphone only of course so I can hear the walkie talkie. Did I mention that by the way, the whole you get your own walkie talkie thing? Feel infinitely more important when you have your own walkie talkie. Anyways, I am jamming out to a favorite song of mine, Money by Choking Victim. The odds of finding a 20 dollar bill are pretty low as is, but the chances of finding one while listening to a song called Money. So I do the right thing and turn the 20 dollar bill into my boss. Work the rest of the day away and retire to my bed with laptop in hand.
I pass most of the time I am not working with Stumble! So there I am stumbling away when suddenly my computer freezes up....RAINBOW WHEEL OF DEATH.....Warning! A script on this website is unresponsive...It is causing problems...blah blah blah...Quit Firefox...reboot.... Now I am sure this has happened to everyone once or twice so why do I consider it to be a coincidence, well, the website I stumbled upon, the one with the Firefox crashing script on it? MIT- Introduction to Computer Science Online Curriculum. You would think MIT could code a website properly, but I guess not...

You thought I was going to put Money by CV didn't you!

Thoughts on "There's a first time for everything"

Learned a valuable lesson today: Guilt is a great motivator. I pride my self on being a good worker. Today however, I found out that there is a first time for everything. I was an idiot, misread my schedule, and had a nice relaxing morning. Around ten o'clock Target calls and informs me that my word day started at 9:30. I had done it, I had missed work. This was devastating news for me and I was at Target in 10 mins flat. Back to my thesis, I felt so guilty about being over and hour late that I worked my little bum off as hard as humanly possible. This fact paired with the current cart situation (being left to the wolves for an hour) meant that I had to work even harder to catch up. Basically, I was working three times harder out of guilt, and being way behind my work was doubled. W= (N x 3G)(N x 3G). There is the equation for how hard I worked. It was a hot day and I finished the day sweaty and exhausted. Thankfully I was not fired, but I has disgraced my name and my family. Goodnight!

Thoughts on New Jersey High School

So I have a cousin here in Jersey who is a senior right now and they are getting ready for prom which is next weekend. I was interested in comparing my high school and Prom experiences with the New Jersey High school. As for a normal weekend they are pretty much the same, but the way they do Prom is quite different. So Prom here starts at 7:00pm and it ends at 11pm. Everyone gets a limo to drive them to the dance and he doors close at like 7:10 and no one else is allowed in. You are not allowed to leave until the dance ends at 11. There is no after-prom party and most everyone goes right home. THEN, the kids all head to the shore (about an hour away) where groups of 15 some seniors have rented beach houses for the rest of the weekend and the 3 days off from school, called "senior week". So I understand having a strict prom, obviously to keep all the kids "safe and sober." But what do they think goes on at the co-ed unsupervised beach house all week. I think what we have here is a prime example of people not wanting to deal with an issue or problem, so they just send it away from their town and pray for the best. Either that our parents here are super-duper naive but I doubt that. I think the school is completely insane, to be so strict at their dance, BUT then aid in the teenage debauchery by giving the kids three days off. Way to cover your ass guys. I spent about 45 mins at my Prom, and did not get back home till like 4. I was safe and sober all night though so I guess I shouldn't really be talking about this. I just wanted to give people a different view of high school prom. Hope you found it interesting.

On a different note, i ha d the cursed register lane at Target today. My scanner gun would stop working half way through, there was random receipts all over and the change "bins" were broken so they would leak over into the bills. I had dimes and pennies stuck inbetween my fives and ones. I had a wonderful night at work.

You get scremo today. Deal with it KAY

Thoughts on a Sad Sad Day...

So today is a sad sad day. Well actually, technically yesterday was the sad day. I was brushing my teeth tonight, after a long day of hard work. Then the horrid news dawned on me. I did not post on the blog yesterday. Yes, I know I promised that I would post at least once a day. I stuck to it pretty darn well. It was really not my intention to miss a day. I was very tired, again from working at Le Tarjeay Market, passed out and forget all about it.I feel absolutely terrible. I feel like I let you guys down so much. When I say you guys I am speaking to the fictional group of people who supposedly read my blog. Anyways, I really do not have a lot to say. Working a lot, I can cashier now. I feel it is a life time skill to be able to press buttons on a keyboard. I have two days off, I believe I will do something blog worthy with them. Goodnight, again much apologies, please don't leave me!

Thoughts on Working

Working at Target now. It is like Costco minus 1000 rude New Jersey-ans. Granted there are still a lot of people who come to the store they seem less rude than the Costco crowd. What I figured out, in many hours of pondering in the parking lot, is that people pay for a membership to Costco and I guess because of that fact they feel almost entitled to be rude A-holes. Target has no membership fee so I guess people are more cordial. What it comes down to is how far away from the cart corral's people leave carts. Costco the average was about a football field length, while Target is usually only a couple of yards. Much appreciated >.< Another difference between the two is that Costco is populated almost completely by retired folk. At Target I see more younger people, people my age, who could almost be my friends. Then I remember I don't have friends, haha. I am learning to be a cashier tomorrow, so that is pretty exciting. After tomorrow I have two days off. Also excite. Got to enjoy the little things. Sorry if this sounded a tad whiny, I hate the world today.

Thoughts on Target!

So I got an interview/call back from Target. They want to have me apply for the an over night stocking job, but I suggested they play to my skills and have me be a cart boy. The way I see it is that I do not want to become one of those over night shift day time zombie people. I can never fall asleep in the daytime anyways, so I would end up never sleeping and living off coffee and Redbull, being a total sprack ball. But best of all they have a little electric cart that you ride when your collecting carts, which is freaking awesome. Other then that I have nothing much to say today, Wish me luck at interview tomorrow!!

Here is a song for you. I am thinking of posting a song everyday or on weekends. I dunno if you care enough tell me what yah think.
