Thoughts on Murder She Wrote

I used to live in Celebration, FL. It was a small little Disney town on the cusp of Disney World. After I moved to New Jersey there was like a double murder suicide thing that happened in Celebration. It was a shocking thing for the small town and pretty unusual. Now I live in Brick, New Jersey, specifically Lions Head. Lions head is a retirement community for people 55 and up. A large majority of the people are in the 80's / 90's. So my aunt heard on the news, then called my grandma, and she told me that some guy was arrested in Lions Head for supposedly killing his step-dad. The guy who was arrested was in his 50's and the man who was killed was in his 90's. The guy was arrested at his home, like a block away from mine. What the hell man...Why do murders always occur where I live. It is starting to creep me out.

On a cooler note, I am addicted to Dubstep again. getting really nitty gritty with it.

Thoughts on The Jersey Bore

So I actually did something with my day off. Brother Ben is here from Washington so we had a good old fashioned New Jersey Day. Started of right with some Dunken Doughnuts, followed by a haircut and some discount shopping at Burlington Coat Factory. Then we packed up and headed to the supposedly wonderful Jersey Shore. Oh boy did I have a blast...Bumper to bumper traffic all the way there. Turns a 10 min drive into an hour + long drive. When we got there it was super crowded, even at the Brick Township beach. This surprised me since I thought all of Brick was retirement communities and yet I saw teenagers ect ect at the Brick Beach. I now just wonder whether they are real people or some kind of tourism/beach/robots... No way to know for sure, but I never see them around town so it is kinda weird. Anyways besides the crowds the water was not very appealing. I mean temperature wise it was great, but I guess an orgy had occurred recently and every single fish in the Atlantic ocean was in attendance. The water was full of fish eggs...not like the delicious ones on sushi. They were small clear balls of jelly with a blue sperm inside them. Imagine swimming in tapioca pudding, except the tapioca balls are fetuses. Things got pretty controversial when my mom asked me if I thought the eggs were technically alive. I declined to comment because it was my day off and I did not want to get into the whole fish abortion / pro-life debate. Either way, Jersey Shore kind of sucked...I am left with the question: was it really worth it to leave the house on my day off??

Thoughts on..OOHHHHH WA%@$!%

So today was day off, some old friends came down from NYC for some good new-fashioned time at the Jersey Shore. After the dentist visit (my teeth are pretty good at being teeth apperentally...) we went over to Brick Beach #1 and set up beach camp. It was a cloudy day, a fairly strong wind was blowing. Not exactly prime weather for my first summer day at the Shore. There were probably five other people at the beach, every one wa very non-chalant. So I walk out into the water, the icy cold water wading around my ankles, as I survey the vast expanse of sea I see a black flicker in my proliferal vision. Now I am not sure if I have explained this but me and the ocean have a deal. Basically we are chill as long as I am no more then like 10 feet out and there is no living marine life near me. This flash of movement really freaked me out. I did not say anything at first, I was not sure I saw anything and did not want to be a "sissy". I slowly back out of the water and watch the area where I saw the thing. All of a sudden...yeah WHALE. There is a freaking whale like 20 feet of the shore and this thing breaches the surface and spouts a huge plume of water. It dives back under and swims up the coast. We followed it for awhile and basked in the beauty of it all. It had to be at least 15 ft long, I am no Whaleologist, but it looked like a Humpback Whale. Not sure but either way it was, for lack of better words, a legit whale. Pretty intense first trip to the shore.

After that we went to Seaside Heights. It was crowded, trashy and dirty. Like the TV show. So to complete the tile of the Blog..."OHHHHHHH WWHHAAAALLLLEEEE!!!!" You will notice that is in quotations, if anyone can tell me what that quote is from..I will give you 100 Internets.

Thoughts on AC

I went to Atlantic City today, which for those of you who don't know, is the Las Vegas of New Jersey and probably the whole eastern seaboard. I have never been to Las Vegas and Brick, New Jersey, again for those of you who don't know, is not the most exciting place on the planet. In fact I would probably vote it the least exciting place on the planet. The town's calling card is having a variety of excellent retirement communities, a perfect place for an 18 year old. Long story short going to AC (as the cool people call it) was pretty exciting. Since it was exciting, and I was traveling....sort of....I took cell phone pictures YAH!

This is a BIG TV screen billboard. I don't know who the band is, the reason I took the picture because there was a sweet Charlie Sheen Show ad but it changed before I could take the picture. So now I look dump. NO SERIOUSLY THEY ARE AN AWESOME BAND THAT I LISTEN TO ALL TIME.

Apparently this is the CENTER of everything. I think it is pretty great, but center of it all might be a little much.

So this is the AC boardwalk. It had everything. There were crack heads, Asian tourists and crazy shirtless old men. There was a Burger King with marble exterior, mini-golf course, and even a Rainforest cafe.

This was lunch. I am in love with New York/New Jersey style pizza. It is so thin and delicious. It is like the hot skinny supermodel version of pizza.

That is the Atlantic City Convention Center. It is pretty famous (according to Scooter).

Bad picture, but obviously another picture of the Convention Center. The Miss America Pageant happens every year at the convention center (according to Scooter). A lot cooler then Retirement Communities.

And lastly a blurry picture of some slot machines. It is blurry because I don't think you can take pictures inside the Casino. A security guard started giving me the eyes so I quickly snapped a picture. They are filming everyone in the Casino from 100 hundred different angles so in my opinion I can take one stinking picture.

Best part of the story is that I won a bunch of money playing Texas Hold'em. Just kidding, I don’t gamble and the age to gamble in New Jersey is 21. All I did was sight see but it was still pretty cool. Hope my cell phone pictures were enjoyable.
